Awesome LittleBigPlanet Advert
I think if I didn’t already have the game and was in two minds about buying it, this trailer would have made buying it hard to resist.
LittleBigPlanet DLC Confirmed
According to SCEA’s Marketing Manager Mark Valledor here is some LBP downloadable content we can expect to see in the near future.
Starting on November 6th there will be two free costumes up for download but only for a limited time. These are the:
- “Launch” Spacesuit (Only available from 11/6 to 11/19)
- Halloween Mask (Only available from 11/6 to 11/19)
He then went on to talk about the rest of the DLC that we can expect for LittleBigPlanet. His the jump for the complete overview of LBP DLC.
The Beatles and Rock Band come together

The Beatles have just licensed a number of their songs to Rock Band. If you’re still out of the loop, this would just be the most popular DLC to date, but this is revolutionary (especially for Harmonix & EA) because The Beatles never license their songs to anyone. You can’t even buy their music on iTunes, and Apple’s been trying for years.
GH: World Tour DLC – Jimi Hendrix and The Raconteurs available in November
The Raconteurs and Jimi Hendrix will both take to the virtual stage this November as DLC in Activision’s Guitar Hero: World Tour.
Even Germany’s Left 4 Dead box art is censored now

The Unterhaltungssoftware Selbstkontrolle, or USK, are Germany’s classification board. And as you may already be aware, they’re a conservative bunch, banning games that even Australia let slide. But this, this is new. Witness Germany’s box art for Valve’s upcoming zombie co-op shooter, Left 4 Dead. Notice anything, uh, different?

Sony talks Home Europe release
When’s Home out? That’s the big question. Sony was saying “Autumn”. Now, at the end of October, it’s saying “this year”.
That news came along with the news that Version 1.0 (the version to be released to the public) is in internal testing now.
Speaking to increasingly impatient official PS forum posters, a Sony representative (alias TedTheDog) said:
“Sorry, you don’t have too long to wait compared to the length of the project so far, but I know the lack of a date is annoying.
“If it helps v1.0 is in internal testing and will hit the closed beta in the coming weeks as will more testers by invitation.”
“1.0 is a major milestone on our journey but it is not the destination. Think long term beyond Open Beta, there’s stuff that will arrive in the few months after Open Beta starts that will really show what Home can bring to you. Some really innovative and clever ideas and some wonderful implementations of the Home vision and, to be blunt, some really fun stuff to do.”
Hopefully, the fact that the game is in internal testing means we won’t be waiting too long. End of November is my guess.
