Gaming exec calls for video game price hike

Posted under News by Kieran McGregor on 31 July 2009 76 views

Sony’s Former EU President believes that the price of a blockbuster video game – such as the Call of Duty titles - should rise to £70 in the future.

According to Chris Deering, only a price jump would ensure a continued supply of blockbuster video games due to the huge increase in development costs.

LittleBigPlanet PSP Progress

Posted under News by ArthurJ on 26 July 2009 52 views

Sony still isn’t ready to show how the level creator will work in the portable version, but I did find out some other things.

Levels are grouped together on a burlap-like globe in LBP PSP, and after some Australian-themed high jinks, the fun moves to the new area known as “The Orient.”

That is preety much all I could find but I will keep you updated on this, this is a must buy, I am 100% going to buy this.

Band Hero will be released on DS with drum buttons

Posted under News by ArthurJ on 25 July 2009 44 views

Activision has announced its Band Hero game will be coming to the DS, and will be playable with a new drum grip peripheral. Now this seems like a cool idea but I wont buy it.

The game had previously only been confirmed for PlayStation 3, PlayStation 2, Wii and Xbox 360 formats. Like those versions, the DS game will allow players to combine lead guitar, bass, drums and vocals to perform songs, and it will also come with a custom peripheral. As with the Guitar Hero: On Tour games, Band Hero will come bundled with a special finger-activated peripheral – this time a drum grip.

Seems preety sweet, but im not going to buy this, it seems like a waste of money, how on earth are you going to feel like a rockstar drummer with this ?!

Posted under News by ArthurJ on 71 views

The Nintendo DSi bundle costs 24,880 yen $265, 161.28 GBP and it comes with a copy of SaGa 2 Hihou Densetsu: Goddess of Destiny.

Well this DSi looks good, but its probably not for me. I would of preferd something with much more colour than this. This is just a thought but what do you guys think about Grand theft auto china town wars DSi, with pictures of chinese people and bright funky lights !
