What a year for gaming 2008 was. With many amazing titles such as Call of Duty: World at War, Resistance 2, Gears of War 2, Disaster: Day of Crisis, LittleBIGPlanet, Mario Kart Wii, Fallout 3 and so many others you’d be here forever trying to read them. It’s not just games either with things such as the announcement of the DSi, PSHome going into public beta and the New Xbox Experience being released - 2008 has been an all round gaming masterpiece.

and with 2009 drawing closer, your probably wondering how its going to compare to 2008 when it comes to gaming. So, to give you something to look forward to, here are 5 of the best multi-platform games that could make 09 even better than this year.

In no particular order:

First, the makers of the Star Wars Battlefront series bring you - Lord of the Rings: Conquest.

Second we have the sequel to the best skating game since Tony Hawks Underground. Skate 2.

Third its the 5th installment of the greatest horror series of all time. You guessed it, Resident Evil 5.

Fourth, it’s the recently announced sequel to one of the greatest games of all time. BioShock 2.

and finally, try and admit your not looking forward to this.

and thats not all of course. If your a PS3 owner you have Uncharted 2, inFamous, Killzone 2, MAG and so many more other awesome exclusives. Wii owners have The Conduit, Madworld and Wii Sports Resort. For 360 owners there’s Halo Wars, Alan Wake, Forza 3 and Mass Effect 2. So no matter which console you have, there’s something good to look out for. So, enjoy whats left of 2008 and have a Happy New Year!
