It eventually came; the new COD and I got the last copy (from PSX) on the release date. I completed the game in one night, hooked to my T.V

The campaign is quite long with multi objective missions; so the game play is definitely there. The first mission sees the player as an American soldier captured by Japanese enemies. The first mission, as a Russian troop, takes place in the ruined city of Stalingrad hunting down a German general called Amsel after surviving a fountain massacre. This mission was by far my favourite and the satisfying gun shot to the General makes the mission worth it.

The online mode is no where near what COD 4 was and the only new fresh addition is the ability to drive vehicles, something which I think people missed on COD 4, and even then that still doesn’t make up for the play online play also rather annoyingly is that there are more than 55 levels to reach now there are over 60 so weapons that seemed rubbish in the game are now automatically put available to low levels and weapons like the flame thrower which dose not even need any ammo is put up to a level past 60.

The problem is that this game almost feels like a jumble of unwanted missions from past COD games stuck together into a new storyline but same principles of the levels. The online mode is poor but not un-playable and has a certain feel of success when a new weapon or perk is unlocked. Also the campaign lets itself down at the end with an extra mission with zombies in it where you have to survive the longest by killing them.

All in all the game has a very strong campaign but lets itself down with its online mode. The games is still a good but for any COD player but for new people to the series they may feel like they have wasted their money.
